✨ Sometimes you come across words that truly resonate with your soul!
Today, I received a post share from my longtime photography partner and good friend @catiaaguiam, that perfectly captured thoughts I've had, but maybe couldn’t quite express. It's incredibly validating to have someone who knows you (and your work especially) so well, send you something that reminds them of you. As well as it is to read something from someone who doesn’t know you at all, articulate an opinion you feel so close to, so well💖

@maeandcomonthly's insight on "Why Wedding Planners Cost So Much (but actually...do they?)", is just so spot on and refreshing! It’s a beautiful and necessary reminder of the sense of community and recognition we find in shared perspectives. We’re all on this journey together and it’s moments like these, although rare, that make you realize just that! Reading this was like finding a piece of myself in someone else’s words, it really just said it all. That’s why it’s important to speak your mind, share experiences and knowledge, because something you say might really make a positive difference to others. 🌟

Quick shout out and thank you to another partner and good friend this journey has brought me @mariaraophotography for this photo she took, which is my favorite "mug shot" 🙌 and IMHO couldn't be more fitting to the post 😂! @tbperdigao @petra.simoes and @catosilva, fellow planners who I have the privilege to share views with and admire, both personally and professionally 🥂 this one's for you too!

With the first wedding of the year this weekend to kick off the season and La Key's birthday coming up in May, a mix of excitement for what's to come and nostalgia for all the special moments lived over the past decade started kicking in. There's only one way I could think of that could fully portray all of these emotions: music!
I consider music to be one of the most beautiful and powerful forms of expression and storytelling, a unifying force and an art that deserves to be widely celebrated, always. So to celebrate the past and the present, I finally got down to creating a Spotify account for La Key and let me tell you it was so much fun! I think @spotify is hands down the best app ever invented and I don't know what took me so long to do this (actually I do, I'm too busy planning dream weddings for my couples 😅) but I'm really happy I finally got down to it. As a tribute to all the couples who have trusted me to help them tell their stories, I created a list called Memory Lane - a selection of songs that couples have chosen over the years, to put a tune to all their special memories.

Hello February!!! Is it just me or does time seem to be flying by in the wink of an eye? This is always a busy and exciting month, because many couples travel to Portugal during this period for venue visits, menu tastings, trials and engagement shoots. I love any reason that'll gather my tribe around a table with delicious food, special drinks, a cozy environment, hilarious conversations and fun games, but Thanksgiving is just my favorite! Although I count my blessings everyday and make a point of regularly telling everyone who is important to me, just how special they are and how grateful I am that our paths crossed, Thanksgiving is that one day where all that gratitude just screams to be celebrated and demonstrated. As always, I was too busy actually living the occasion (and preparing a feast) to post about it (also because I am just terrible at social media 🤣) but here I am today to tell all my friends, family, partners and clients that I would be absolutely nothing without you all! All the love, support and trust you each give me plays a very big part in my life and I feel extremely blessed to have so many special people around me. Words will just never be enough to express how incredibly grateful and lucky I am...THANK YOU all from the very bottom of my heart!
